Our Christmas Elves spent the entire day yesterday delivering small gifts to our special people all over Cochrane and the surrounding area yesterday. It was no small task, but no task is too big or too small when it comes to our swim families. We are so grateful to live through this pandemic in a community like Cochrane, with families like you.
What touched our hearts the most yesterday was the overwhelming generosity we received from our swim families through our first Comets Reverse Advent Food Bank Challenge. We learned the spirit of giving remains strong, even though many of us have felt our strength diminished at times over these past weeks. Our families still found it within themselves to give, knowing it would help someone else find a little joy and comfort during this holiday season.
It's important our special people are reminded they are loved and cared for, even when we can’t be together at the moment. Resilience in our youth has been the buzz word throughout this pandemic, and our children have been just that. When our children know they have a support system surrounding them it gives them courage to embrace each day, even when they aren’t sure what that day is going to look like.
We may not be together in the pool right now, but we are together, as a connected and strong family, united through adversity. Yesterday could not have been a better example of that.
From our Hearts to your Hearts - Forward - we wish you the Merriest of Holidays filled with Love and Laughter. We say goodbye to 2020 and usher in a wonderful New Year filled with possibilities! We can't wait until we meet again, #heartforward,
